Notes   During Academic Time, TAKS related topics--CHEMISTRY, testing strategies, and TAKS practice tests will be discussed and given.  After our TAKS lesson, your student is able to read a book, work on homework, make up work for me or any other teacher.  Your student is to keep all paperwork received during Academic Time in their Biology notebook; periodically we will have open notebook test to review TAKS material.  Each student should leave their biology textbook home to assist them with their homework.  Please encourage your student to read the chapters that we are discussing to increase their knowledge base of science. We will take a break from chemistry after this week and go over the 3rd six weeks benchmark.  (4th six weeks BENCHMARK TEST Viruses, Bacteria, Major Kingdom Classification.
